Helicopter Twirls Out of Control into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Beach
A helicopter flying above a well-attended coastal coastline unexpectedly started spinning out of control, eventually descending rapidly and crashing into a line of palm trees as spectators watched.
Recordings uploaded on social media show the helicopter starting to spin near the shoreline then descending towards the perimeter of the shore, where it becomes wedged between palm trees and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the street were hurt. Details on their injuries were still under review.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.

The department said the helicopter was associated with an regular “Cars and Copters” benefit occasion scheduled for the following day.
