Two Men Accused for Inmate Homicide of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder after the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per investigating officers.

Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
